A picture-postcard carr-stone and brick cottage on the Sandringham Estate which was originally stables on the Holkham Estate, converted to 2 cottages in 1872.
The area was bought by the Sandringham Estate and the last owner of this cottage, who was an MP for West Norfolk, converted the two into one cottage in the 1970s having purchased them from Her Majesty The Queen.
The present owner has lived here since 2000, having carried out extensive work including the addition of hardwood double glazed windows, a new kitchen (2007), a garage, large lockable shed, lean-to log shed, boundary fencing, back porch, larder etc. It extends to approximateley 1960 square feet (182 square metres)
It is situated in a quiet road which ends at the Church, in the pretty village of Flitcham (it won the 2007 EDP Community Awards prize for the under 500 population category) which is in a conservation area.
